Count your friends!
I just went here and counted up all the people who I can't buy paid time for... that means every one of those people has a permanent account. I found out I have THIRTY-FOUR friends with permanent accounts (well, actually 33 people, one of whom has TWO permanent accounts). That's out of 215 friends. What a big bunch of LJ addicts my friends are! How many on your friendslists are permies? Do permanent account holders tend to come in clusters? Or are some of you the only person on your friendlist with one?

I mean, I know my friends are outside the main LJ demographic, being mostly employed college grads who can afford such things, but still...

that's not true. It say on the top of the list with people you can't buy thing for:
These friends have paid accounts that aren't due to expire for a while.
magidmagid on March 16th, 2006 07:28 pm (UTC)
It lists people with free accounts, people with paid accounts due to expire soon, and people with paid accounts not due to expire soon. In that last category, it still allows you to buy a gift for those without a permanent account, so if there's no option to buy, the user has a permanent account.

Or at least, that's how I understood it.

Exactly. I even clicked on several of their userinfo links to check. Every one I clicked on that did not have the "buy gift" option was in fact permanent (including some people I was rather suprized by as they never struck me as the LJ addict type!)

I've got 21 out of 100 friends (well, a bit less than that in actual people, with some people having multiple LJs) with permanent accounts. Clustered, but also mostly employed college grads...

It looks like I have 56, unless I miscounted. That's out of 291.

(Admittedly, one of them is brad, and several of them are also on your flist. My list is also heavy on employed college grads....)

Only one of my lj friends out of my 39 have a permanent account. The majority of my friends are college students with no money, or that just don't know how to save. I was lucky to have some cash in my account the day they held the last sale :).

3 out of 103 of my friends are permanent account holders.

Hmm, let's see... six people with permanent accounts on my friends list, not counting myself and not counting communities with permanent accounts.

I have 118, but some of those are communities. Excluding the comms, I have 75 permanent users on my friends list. Out of 165 users + 136 comms + 70 syndicated accounts (but the latter don't count, as they can't have permanent accounts).

Three permanent account holders out of 31 on my flist. I recently went through and did a thorough wipe of friends, so that number is less than it was just a few weeks ago.

50, though that includes some communities. Like with camomiletea and jai_dit, that's because many of them are people I know from Support.
