(Mod Post) New Icons + a Q&A
While recently creating a couple icons, I decided to create two new icons for this community.

First, is the actual community icon for permmembers. While the original community icon was decent enough, I decided it was time for something a little spiffier. And the result...

permmembers icon

...is this. Naturally I had to continue the goat theme. But instead of just a solid goat outline, we now have something that is a little more dynamic, and includes identifying marks -- both the community name, and the permanent account badge that is slated to be used on the new userinfo pages. If you feel it appropriate, feel free to use the community icon when promoting permmembers.

Additionally, to more easily distinguish moderator/maintainer posts I make, I will be using the following newly-created icon:

permmembers moderator icon

So, when you see the icon in use, it means I'm making an announcement/statement or addressing a concern regarding administration of this community.
(And hopefully I now have icons that reflect the coolness that is this community's membership.)
So, while we're at it...

Are there any questions, concerns, suggestions, or ideas regarding this community? I'm in the mood to take questions. If not, that's cool, but if you do have something I'd love to address what you might have to say.

Once again, thanks to everyone for their involvement in this community. May hope, love, and warmth be in your heart's possessing, and may the New Year
bring you and yours many blessings!

just the idea that there might be concerns regarding administration of this community is humorous to me.

the community averages 2 posts a month and they have to be approved first. what concerns could possible arise?

There are few concerns with moderation for this community, for sure.

Moderation of entries is part of this; it has the specific advantages of weeding-out inappropriate entries and making moderation of the community more transparent to the members. I consider transparency to be important, and there is a need for that based on some of the posts that have been declined.

There are other aspects of moderation, too. Even if that's just stepping in to make guiding corrections or informational posts. Fortunately, this community is fairly low-maintenance. Very low-drama, for sure. Which is awesome (there are grown-ups on LJ). But there are a few administrative concerns, as in all communities. *shrugs*
