Mod Note: Entry Moderation, Community Issues, Promotion
Hello once again, fellow permies.

Moderated posting has been disabled. So that means you're free to post without your entry having to sit in a queue. This was done for a few reasons, but primarily because I didn't want to stifle members. So the community is self-stifling now, meaning your fellow members will keep posts on track and relevant to the community (nicely, I hope). Of course, your maintainer team will still be around to catch any major issues ("buy v 1 a 6 r a") and address any comments/concerns.

Community issues that will be addressed in the near future include better taggage (likely courtesy the qfemale), suggestions regarding this community to be made in suggestions (they're half-written; they just need a few coats of wax and a polish), and a style (before a new style for this community becomes a running joke). If anyone has anything they feel needs to be addressed, or just have questions on an issue, please do let us know.

701 permanent account holders have joined this community (as of this post). The majority of that growth was in the first couple months of this community's existance. This community is already a year old! (Happy belated birthday, permmembers!!) Without you permies, that never would have happenned, for seriously. I'm not much for speechifying, but I still thought it was worth mentioning. Continue sucking members in, if you can!

lj_nifty is currently voting on a new maintainer. If you're a member of that community, consider voting. It's officially an official community, so your vote will directly effect that community's continued development (and perhaps LiveJournal's development, in some manner).

suggestions is also seeking a new co-maintainer (or two). They aren't voting, however, self-nominations are accepted. Consider volunteering if you'd like to help improve the user-experience of those using suggestions (much needed, in my opinion).
