Outages  
I loved getting small snippets of time from LJ as a Paid Member when there were major outages or site problems. It showed great customer service and willingness to go an extra step. As Perm Members we already have access to all the perks. A suggestion for LJ might be to give us the occasional Virtual Gift to bestow. I have used a few and they are fun. Would not using this as an additional perk on occasion also have the benefit to LJ to publicize the Virtual Gifts?
Just an idea but I think maybe a good one for all involved......

Nice idea, but honestly...

I think it's silly they want to compansate LJ users for these few hours of paid time, when it wasn't even their fault. Especially because I didn't notice that anyone who got 'accidentially' suspended was actually getting anything for it.
Doing someone wrong knowingly (even if in good thinking) should be the real thing you say 'sorry' for.

Agreed - in this instance it was totally beyond their control. There is nothing to compensate *for*.

I agree with this completely.

It wasn't their fault. They don't have to compensate. It's nice that they do, but if they didn't, it wouldn't bother me at all.

Agreed. Seems kinda silly to "compensate" for a few hours down. A few days, OK, I could see that.

The Virtual Gift idea isn't bad, though, and doesn't cost them hardly a thing.
