Buying more scrapbook storage?
Hi, being a permanent member, I have taken advantage of the generous amount of storage space offered on scrapbook.

As such, I have almost filled the 10GB. I was wondering is it possible for us permanent members to purchase additional space to the 10GB, or if that is an absolute hard limit ?

You can't make flickr images use exactly the same security as LJ scrapbook, but you can do something reasonable:

If you make the image private in flickr only the image *page* on flickr is protected. The actual image files (of different sizes) are accessible by anyone, but only if you know the hard-to-guess URL.

You can post the private flickr image to LJ, restrict the LJ post however you want, and those will be the only ones who can see the image.

The difference is that anyone with the URL to the flickr image can access it, so if someone leaks the URL then others may be able to view it. Unlike flickr, LJ scrapbook does authentication for the image file itself. It's not a big difference, but worth knowing.
