Ugh!
Hello, I'm Shay, I've had a perm account since last year, nice to meet other folks with chemically treated hair similar accounts.

Probably many of you know, but there's a huge discussion about LJ becoming more like MySpace and trying to appeal to a 'younger' crowd.

You can read about it, and a petition, two entries down.

Now, this affects perm members because of loss of service, yes, but I'm also wondering- will they allow transfers between LJ and Vox with a transfer token? Hmmm...

Oh dear, I missed that entirely. Must have scrolled right past it when I was reading the comm.

Well, thank you... but really my main question no one seems to have answered, which is whether or not the transfer tokens will be offered for Vox if the LJ system changes drastically.

i'm not worried about it unless those on my friends list stop using lj. that's the only reason most of us are here anyways.

Well, what if vox is in fact (gasp!) better? Or intermeshes with LJ (friendlists, feeds, etc) but feels more like a product you or I would like?

I'm just thinking a transfer token across websites but under the same corporate umbrella (and presumably similar platforms) would be a very nice option.

If you had surfed around Vox as carefully as I had, you would've found out that you can't transfer your archives from one to the other tho...
So you go over there - you are starting over entirely.

Ditto.

Did you edit your post? Because in the post you mention the petition two entries down, which makes me pause for a second as those two statements don't reconcile.
