Hello, I'm Shay, I've had a perm account since last year, nice to meet other folks with chemically treated hair similar accounts.

Probably many of you know, but there's a huge discussion about LJ becoming more like MySpace and trying to appeal to a 'younger' crowd.

You can read about it, and a petition, two entries down.

Now, this affects perm members because of loss of service, yes, but I'm also wondering- will they allow transfers between LJ and Vox with a transfer token? Hmmm...

I'm really confused about this whole thing. Where the hell are people getting the idea that LJ is trying to turn into MySpace? What is their evidence to support this theory?

And as far as VOX goes, I have no clue if they would give "transfer tokens" or not. I currently have a VOX blog (?) & I'm not really liking it too much simply because it's compatibility with Mac OS X is dismal. Plus, it has ads on the blog pages & that bugs the hell out of me.

If they did give "transfer tokens", it wouldn't really be a transfer so much as an invite. Currently, you can't import data from other journals within LJ, so I doubt you would be able to do it between a LiveJournal & a VOX blog.
